Smeg is an Italian appliance manufacturer based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia in the country's north. It was founded in 1948 by Vittorio Bertazzoni Sr. and is now run by his son, Roberto. Production of household appliances began in the 1950s, and the brand immediately distinguished itself for its ability to design and apply cutting-edge technology.
