Solo Leveling

Popular South Korean manhwa (webcomic) Solo Leveling was created by Jang Sung-rak and Chugong. 2018 to 2021 saw an online serialization of it. It is one of the best completed manhwa (webtoons) with leveling system. The story takes place in a world where "gates," or openings to another realm, have let loose frightening beasts and given some people the capacity to become hunters.

Sung Jin-Woo, the main character of Solo Leveling, is a young guy who begins as an E-rank hunter, the lowest level of hunter. He is caught while on a raid in a dungeon, though, and finds a mysterious interface that allows him to level up like a video game character. Sung Jin-Woo then sets out on a quest to become the best hunter and save humanity from the dangers posed by the gates. As he advances, Sung Jin-Woo collects uncommon goods, gains new abilities, and fights foes who are more difficult to defeat. He acquires the nickname "Shadow Monarch" as a result of his special shadow-related skills. He discovers the mysteries of the gates and the source of his powers as he develops.
