Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
Released by Sony in 2018, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" follows the story of Miles Morales, a talented and artistic teenager who attends a prestigious boarding school. One day, while visiting his uncle Aaron Davis, he is bitten by a radioactive spider in an underground subway station. Soon after, Miles begins to develop spider-like abilities, including increased strength, agility, and the ability to stick to walls.
Meanwhile, the city's original Spider-Man, Peter Parker, is fighting the villainous Kingpin and his henchmen. During a battle, Kingpin uses a particle accelerator to create a dimensional portal, accidentally bringing multiple versions of Spider-Man from alternate realities into Miles' world.
Miles encounters an older and more experienced Peter Parker, who agrees to train him and help him control his newfound powers. However, they soon discover that they are not the only Spider-People in the city. They meet Gwen Stacy, a.k.a. Spider-Woman, Spider-Man Noir from a 1930s universe, Peni Parker and her robot SP//dr, and Spider-Ham, a cartoon pig version of Spider-Man. Together, the group realizes that they need to find a way to return to their respective dimensions.
The film features a visually stunning animation style. The movie seamlessly blends comic book aesthetics with the fluidity of motion, resulting in a truly captivating and immersive world. As such, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and groundbreaking superhero films ever made and definitely listed among the best Sony Pictures Animation movies.
