Spokane Buddhist Temple
Spokane Buddhist Temple was established in 1945. The temple has been a cherished institution for individuals seeking solace, enlightenment, and a deeper connection with their inner selves.
Rooted in the traditions of Japanese Shin Buddhism, the temple hosts weekly Sunday morning services at 10:30 am. These services offer a serene and reflective space for reflection and spiritual growth, conducted in English to make them accessible to a diverse audience regardless of cultural or religious background.
Beyond regular services, the temple cultivates a vibrant community through various events and activities throughout the year. The Ramen Fest and Teriyaki Fest, held in spring and fall, provide delightful culinary experiences while raising funds for the temple's continued operation. The Obon Festival, celebrated in July or August, honors ancestors and celebrates the joy of family and community. To welcome the new year with tradition, the temple hosts the lively MochiFest.
The Spokane Buddhist Temple warmly welcomes individuals in search of a greater understanding of Buddhism, a serene space for contemplation, or a supportive community connection.
