Squarespace
Squarespace is the next e-commerce website builder on the list. It requires nothing in the way of technical know-how due to its drag-and-drop constructor. Like Wix, it has a modest learning curve on the back end when setting up an online store because it was originally designed as a standard website builder rather than an online selling platform.
Squarespace provides excellent storefront design templates. Once you've decided on a template, you can alter the fonts, colours, and graphics to suit your company's style. If you want to sell anything online, though, you'll need to subscribe to a premium plan.
Squarespace only allows for the use of Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Afterpay for online purchases to be made. When you upgrade to the Commerce Advanced plan, you'll have the option of selling subscriptions and gift cards.
Turn your standard website into a shop if you don't feel like dealing with Squarespace's ecommerce features. You may add the Shopify Buy Button (a short embedded bit of code) and gain access to over a hundred payment methods, sales and growth tracking, simple shipping connections, currency compatibility, and more for just $5 per month.
Features include:
- Drag-and-drop builder with customizable templates and starter layouts to build your store
- Automatically responsive web designs and image scaling
- Custom WYSIWYG editing to support content types and complex layouts
- Ability to sell an unlimited amount of products
- Automatic post-purchase email sequences
- Finance, marketing, shipping, and sales extensions
Price: 3-day free trial. Basic Commerce plan starts at $26/month.
