State of Face

Joy Macke launched State of Face, an in-studio or on-site makeup artistry firm, in 2008. Joy focuses on assisting clients with their beauty needs and questions, as well as creating an original style inspired by classic pictures, vintage music and fashion, and pop culture. Joy does makeup for special occasions, bridal parties, TV, film, video, corporate work, commercial and industrial work, photography shoots, and other events. Her other services include lashing, travel, touch-up kits with bespoke lip color, airbrushing, and more.

They have received honors such as The Knot's Best of Weddings from 2012 to 2015 and The Knot's Hall of Fame Winner.
