Sun Breathing (Hinokami Kagura)
Hinokami Kagura, also known as the Sun Breathing, is a revered and ancient Breathing Style in the Demon Slayer series. Passed down within the Kamado Family alongside the Hanafuda earrings, it is performed in a ritual ceremony every new year to honor the Fire God.
The dance consists of twelve segments repeated from sunset to sunrise to ward off threats and diseases, with the user never exhausting themselves, allowing them to seemingly dance forever. Tanjiro Kamado is the last known user, having learned it from his father Tanjuro Kamado.
Hinokami Kagura is later revealed to be the legendary Sun Breathing, the first Breathing Style and the foundation for all others. This influential and enigmatic technique plays a pivotal role in the series, representing strength, tradition, and the indomitable spirit of its practitioners.
