Take a stroll a Shenandoah National Park

Residents of Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia frequently travel to Shenandoah National Park for a mountain retreat. Visitors to Shenandoah National Park can take a 2-mile roundtrip journey along the well-known trail, which winds through the park. There are several hotels and vacation homes close to Shenandoah, or you may save money by pitching a tent at one of the campgrounds. However, keep in mind that during the late fall and winter, certain neighborhood restaurants might operate just during certain hours or not at all. Bring your own supplies if you intend to stay for a weekend during these times. The entrance price to Shenandoah National Park is $30 per vehicle, and passes are good for seven days.
