Taragarh Fort
One of the best tourist places to visit in Rajasthan is the Taragarh Fort or the Star Fort in Bundi. The fort was constructed in 1534 AD on a hillside. The fort has three gateways called the Laxmi Pol, the Phuta Darwaza, and Gagudi ki Phatak. Today, most parts of the fort are in a dilapidated condition. However, it still looks majestic and is the most impressive monument in Bundi.
A series of tunnels once ran through the entire hillside of the Taragarh Fort. Due to a lack of maps, these tunnels have now been closed. The fort possessed spectacular battlements, with the Bhim Burj being the largest. On this battlement, enormous cannonballs known as Garbh Gunjam were installed. The fort also features sizable water reservoirs that were constructed to meet the needs of the city's inhabitants. The Rani Mahal, which served as a harem for the emperors' wives and concubines, is the Taragarh Fort's other main draw. In addition, the fort features Miran Saheb ki Dargah.
