Tennis
There is a lot of interest in tennis in the United Kingdom. Especially since the UK hosts the Grand Slam tournaments, one of the most famous tennis events on the ATP Tour which includes Wimbledon, The Australia Open, The U.S. Open, and the French Open. In 2021, Wimbledon Championships is one of the most popular tennis tournaments in the UK and has been held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom.
Many British athletes also participate in the Olympic games and have many great achievements. At the Wheelchair Tennis at the Paralympic Tokyo 2020, Jordanne Whiley finished the game with a doubles silver medal, a singles bronze medal, and became the first British wheelchair tennis player to win a Women's singles medal. Moreover, although Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett missed out on the gold medal they had another Men's Doubles Paralympic silver medal to celebrate.
Besides that, the UK has many public institutions that offer tennis to the general public at low or free cost.
