Thabana Ntlenyana
The highest peak of The Kingdom of Lesotho, a landlocked country and enclave completely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa, is Thabana Ntlenyana, which literally means "Beautiful Little Mountain." It is also the tallest peak in southern Africa (south of Kilimanjaro). Thabana Ntlenyana is located on the Drakensberg mountain range near Sani Pass, a beautiful mountain pass that serves as a well-known entry point into Lesotho from South Africa's Natal Drakensberg Park.
Lesotho cannot be compared to South Africa due to its height. It does, however, receive the greatest rain throughout the summer (thunderstorms are quite common in the Drakensberg mountains during this period). Summer temperatures can reach 30 °C (86 °F) while winter temperatures can drop to -18 °C (-0.4 °F). Snow is prevalent between May and September, while higher summits might get snow all year.
