The Cheese Shop, while not exactly a restaurant, is without a doubt one of the best places to dine in Williamsburg. The "house dressing", which adds flavor and complexity to every mouthful of crispy bread and delicate lunch meat, is the trick here. Almost every sandwich comes with the dressing, which serves as both an essential seasoning and a dipping sauce. It's so popular that it's even sold in jars!

You won't go hungry whether you order your sandwiches simply (turkey, ham, chicken, or roast beef) or more elaborately (the corned beef and Braunschweiger are both surprisingly good). There are also gluten-free bread varieties available!
