The historic stone town city

One of the oldest cities in Africa is Zanzibar's Stone Town. There are several historic buildings in the town. The city is roughly in the middle of Unguja's west coast. The area is a protected part of the UNESCO World Heritage site because of its historical significance.

Being one of Zanzibar's most breathtaking locations, it is frequently mistaken for the archipelago's capital. It's not the capital, but it is unquestionably one of the archipelago of Zanzibar's most recognizable cities. Don't forget to take a day off while in Zanzibar to wander down the Stone Town's main street. The stone town's streets are teeming with interesting locations to explore, like: House of Wonders, The Old Fort, The Old Dispensary, The Palace Museum, The Anglican cathedral of Christ Church, The Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Joseph, The Forodhani Garden.

The House of Wonder in Zanzibar was constructed by Sultan Barghash in 1883 for ceremonial celebrations. One of the oldest structures in East Africa, it adds even more splendor to Zanzibar's Stone Town. The largest structure in Stonetown is this iconic structure. This older structure exhibits a beautiful architectural design. While exploring stone town on your Zanzibar Beach Holidays, look out for its thin steel pillars and balconies that overlook the beach. The enormous carved doors on the structure are the biggest doors in East Africa. The Swahili people's history and culture are currently on display in this edifice, which serves as a museum.
