The Mark
On the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City, at 25 East 77th Street and Madison Avenue, there is a luxurious hotel called The Mark Hotel. The building, which was originally built in the Renaissance Revival style in 1927, was acquired by Izak Senbahar of Alexico Group and Simon Elias in 2006, and French architect Jacques Grange redesigned its interiors in 2009. 47 suites and 106 hotel rooms are also housed there. The structure houses a bar and restaurant by Jean Georges Vongerichten, a salon by Frédéric Fekkai, facilities for caring for John Lobb shoes, and an exclusive fragrance by Federick Malle. For The Mark collection, Jacques Grange hired seven top international craftspeople and artists, including Ron Arad, Eric Schmitt, Paul Mathieu, Mattia Bonetti, and Vladamir Kagan.
On the 16th and 17th floors of The Mark Hotel, Jacques Grange's "The Mark Penthouse" was inaugurated in 2015. It is the largest hotel suite in the country, measuring more than 10,000 square feet. It has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a great room, a library, a formal dining room, a gourmet kitchen, and four fireplaces. Additionally, it offers exclusive access to a 2,500 square foot private terrace with views of Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the city skyline.
Jacques Grange also recently created The Mark Five Bedroom Terrace Suite and The Mark Three Bedroom Terrace Suite in addition to The Mark Penthouse. Both suites are on the hotel's 14th floor and include patios with views of Central Park and the city skyline.
