The Outcast
Based on Dong Man Tang's webcomic of the same name, "The Outcast" is a Chinese anime series. On July 9, 2016, Tencent Animation & Comics and Shanghai Foch Film Culture Investment released the anime adaption. In Japan, the show is also known as "Hitori no Shita: The Outcast". In the universe where "The Outcast" is set, superhuman entities known as "Tenshi" exist. The protagonist of the novel is Zhang Chulan, a young man who, while on a field trip, unintentionally becomes engaged in a Tenshi war. He consequently learns about his own skills and is drawn into a complicated web of paranormal activities.
Zhang Chulan meets numerous Tenshi throughout the book and learns about their diverse factions and powers. He plays a significant role in the ongoing fights between various Tenshi factions while also seeking to understand his own background and the history of the Tenshi.
