The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 1
Breaking Dawn: Part 1, also known as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, is a 2011 American romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon and based on Stephenie Meyer's 2008 novel of the same name. The film is the fourth and last entry in The Twilight Saga film series and was followed by Breaking Dawn: Part 2 in 2012. It is the first of a two-part adaptation of the novel. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner all reprised their roles.
The film was produced by Wyck Godfrey and Karen Rosenfelt, as well as Stephenie Meyer, the series' author; the script was written by Melissa Rosenberg, who also wrote the screenplays for the first three installments. In the United States, it was released in cinemas on November 18, 2011, and on DVD on February 11, 2012. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the picture was a commercial success, generating more than $712 million worldwide.
