Tin Jo
Tin Jo is an attractive Asian restaurant in a colonial estate that serves a variety of genuine Asian meals. This restaurant, which combines Latin American style with Asian touches, is unquestionably one of the greatest places to eat in Costa Rica for the adventurous gourmet. The warm tones and dark-wood furniture of South America are there, yet subtle Asian touches are sprinkled throughout.
Not to mention that this restaurant delivers some extremely inventive spins on classic Asian cuisine. For appetizers, have a small Vegetarian T-Ramen and some Steamed Shrimp Wontons. Then, serve this with a plate of Adobo Pork Rib Mila and a Sauvignon Blanc. Finish on a sweet note with the Sorbet Sampler, which includes flavors like Passion Fruit, Lemon Grass with Mint, and others.
What began as a Chinese restaurant in 1972 has expanded throughout Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan due to its innovative cuisine. There are plenty of vegetarian and naturally gluten-free alternatives on the menu, and the desserts are exotic, delicious, and to die for without being unhealthy. Tin Jo also holds yoga and meditation workshops throughout the week, as well as Miercoles Candelas, a Wednesday evening event in which the lights are turned off in favor of candles.
