TinyTap is a learning game for kids. This is an app and website that adults or children can use to create lessons, games, or quizzes, or to learn using digital materials created by others. Search for resources - games, puzzles, soundboards, e-books, etc. - by subject, language and grade level. Creating interactive resources requires an iPad or Android tablet, but doesn't require any coding. Users can create their designs or use the templates ("creation packs") and graphics in TinyTap. A subscription is required for access to all games and lessons, learning data, private storage and no ads. Users can also purchase some features individually through in-app purchases. Teachers can find or create games specifically for their students, so the content is customizable. The breadth of the games is impressive, although they can be reliably difficult to use to judge because of different data and scores. The paid version includes a useful score and progress-tracking feature. Many of the games available are rote and very simple. The games you create are based on images from your camera roll or posting account, and you can enhance those backgrounds with creative packs to add special effects, such as game show bells. After creating the image, it's time to add an activity to the image and there are several types: soundboards (better for younger learners), jigsaw puzzles, asking questions, and playing videos (links from youtube are allowed). At first glance, these games may seem elementary only, but the one that this app made using the "questioning" activity is great for middle school students as well.
