Transport logistics - Introduction to transport modes

You will learn some key details about the primary transport modes, or the many ways that cargo or freight is moved, in this online course on transportation operations management. The first step will be to introduce cargo transportation in general, identify the key players, and list the primary modalities.

Before briefly studying the two, relatively less popular, rail and barge transport modes, you also take a closer look at the truck, air, and ocean transport operations modes separately and in more depth. This section will come to a close with a look at a transport case and a review of some fundamental ideas. The instructor will go through the primary types of transportation that a logistics coordinator could use in this course. This logistics training has a runtime of around 60 minutes.

The projected length of the user experience is 90+ minutes, however this number might change depending on the amount of interactive content and contemplative time. There are 25 quiz questions throughout the course, some of which need visual learning. A quiz and game hosted on an external website are also linked throughout the course.
