Transportation
In Cyprus, there are no railroads. Minibusses are the only mode of transportation between cities. You will need to know the schedule here. It is not the most practical way to get around the island. There is public transportation in resort cities, including buses and, of course, taxis. However, if you purchased a full package from an "all-inclusive" tour operator, you will be taken on a tour, but if you still want to travel independently, which is very pleasant, you should rent a car. And if you have rented an apartment, you will almost certainly need to rent a car in Cyprus.
The cheapest mode of local transportation in Cyprus is by bus, which costs around €1-2 for a ticket within the cities. Taxis, depending on the distance, can cost around €5 if you prefer more comfort. You can rent a car in Cyprus, which is very convenient for getting around and costs around €30-40.
