Vassar College
Vassar College, a private liberal arts institution located in Poughkeepsie Town, New York, was established in 1861 by Matthew Vassar. Initially a women's college, Vassar became coeducational in 1969, offering over fifty majors leading to BA degrees.
Known as one of the historic Seven Sisters colleges, it has an expansive campus spanning over 1,000 acres with more than 100 buildings, including two National Historic Landmarks. The college's varsity sports teams, known as the Brewers, compete in the NCAA's Division III as members of the Liberty League.
