Verbund AG (Verbund) is an electricity generation, transmission, trading, and distribution corporation. It creates energy from renewable sources such as hydro, biomass, wind, and solar. The firm maintains power facilities and trades energy, gas, and certificates on European exchanges. It oversees and controls its domestic and overseas stock interests and operates the power transmission network through Austria Power Grid AG. It offers insurance, vehicle servicing, and facilities management.
The company runs 129 hydroelectric plants in Austria and Germany, servicing domestic, commercial, and agricultural clients and merchants and dealers in 12 countries, including Germany, Romania, and Austria. Verbund AG generates and distributes power through segmentation, renewable generation, sales, and all other sectors. All sales and transaction operations are in the Sales section.
