Vilnius Gediminas Technical University
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is a public research university in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. There are ten colleges at the university, which include the Antanas Gustaitis Aviation Institute, Architecture, Business Management, Civil Engineering, Creative Industries, Electronics, Environmental Engineering, Fundamental Sciences, Mechanics, and Transport Engineering. Thirteen institutes, three research centers, and twenty-three research laboratories conduct scientific research and experimental development.
VGTU is ranked in the top 2.1 percent of universities worldwide and is the highest-ranking university in Lithuania in the subject areas of Architecture / Built Environment (QS Top 101–150), Business & Management (QS Top 201-250), and Economics & Econometrics (QS Top 301–350), according to the QS World University Rankings by subject.
The VGTU campus is distributed around Vilnius, with the major buildings being in the woodland Saulėtekis district of the Antakalnis eldership, close to several Vilnius University faculties, as well as Mykolas Romeris University and the European Humanities University. The university's future plans include expanding the Saulėtekis campus.
