Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent Van Gogh was a Post-Impressionist painter who struggled with mental illness throughout his life. He died two days later after shooting himself in the chest with a handgun. A decade after his death, Van Gogh rose to popularity. He was eventually regarded as being a crucial factor in the development of contemporary art. He is now universally recognized as one of the most significant personalities in Western art history.
In barely over a decade, Van Gogh made around 2,100 artworks, including landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and self-portraits. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished painters in all of these fields. Van Gogh's art is distinguished by its strong color, rugged beauty, emotional honesty, and impetuous and passionate brushwork.
He created some of the most well-known contemporary art masterpieces, including The Starry Night, the Sunflower series, and the Irises series.
