Virginia Beach
Virginia Beach is the most well-known beach in the state. Access to the Atlantic Ocean is quite popular with tourists. Due to its proximity to the Chesapeake Bay, there are more dining options and activities than constructing sandcastles in the region. One of the reasons Virginia Beach is so well-liked by both locals and visitors from outside the area is the variety of sea and land experiences it offers. As you watch a surfing tournament, sit beside the shore. Watch a sand volleyball match or take in some live music.
Learn to snorkel to stay active, or hire a bike to cycle the Back Bay National Refuge's paths. Be sure to visit the various stores and restaurants that line the main street and take a stroll down the three-mile boardwalk while listening to the waves crash into the shoreline. Although there are several reasonably priced hotels along the beachfront, if you're searching for more opulent lodgings for your trip, the historic Cavalier Hotel, which is a part of the Marriott five-star Autograph Collection, has rooms with views of the water and tastefully restored interiors.
