Visit 9/11 Memorial Museum

In 2014, the public was allowed access to the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Only family members of the victims and survivors were given access to the first entry. The underground buildings, which span seven floors and more than 108,000 square feet, took longer than expected to complete. The construction ended up costing more than $1 billion US, exceeding its original budget. Many people complained that the $24 (now $26) entrance fee was excessive and that the owners had turned Ground Zero into a tourist destination for financial gain.

As expected, the first exhibition piece brought back memories of 9/11 for everyone. The emotions on that day and immediately following the terror attack were complete confusion! You are reminded of what once was by two enormous furrowed steel beams that were a part of the twin towers' outer structure. They have been put back together piece by piece after being completely destroyed when the Twin Towers fell. During your visit to the city, you should go to the 9/11 Museum in New York.
