Waipio Valley, Hawaii

Waipio Valley, also known as the Valley of the King, is renowned for its majesty and beauty. The topmost point of the Hawaiian Big Island, which was once home to Polynesians, has beautiful countryside with steep mountains, breathtaking sea views, and cascading waterfalls. This breathtaking area is located at the very top of the island of Hawaii, approximately 2,000 feet above sea level.

There are a few hidden beaches here that are difficult to reach; however, once you do, you'll find a vast stretch of pristine white sand beach that is all yours to enjoy the breathtaking views.

Surfers come to the valley to catch waves because the valley's remote location means there are only a few riders in the water most days. Furthermore, the valley is home to a small number of taro farmers who cultivate the valley's fertile soil. It's pure Hawaiian splendor.

Access to the valley is limited to those with steel bones and the ability to drive a 4WD vehicle across the rocky terrain. Naturally, you'll be able to get out of your car and drive straight to the Waipio Valley viewpoint, which is located just outside of Honokaa.
