Weidmann's
Weidmann's, which opened in 1870, is one of Mississippi's oldest businesses still in operation. It is included on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the Meridian Urban Center Historic District. Weidmann's reopened in 2001 after a brief shutdown and subsequent remodel, and then again in 2010, to give a pleasant, charming, and nostalgic dining experience in a space that pays homage to the restaurant's past.
The Weidmann's restaurant specializes in high-quality comfort food, including fried green tomato dishes and other Mississippi classics like shrimp and grits, pork chops, trout almondine, and, of course, pies. In other words, Weidmann's has always started with the freshest ingredients, tried and true recipes, and just a little careful, loving attention.
