Walking through Wellington Zoo, located in the Newtown area of Wellington, a short distance from central Wellington, you will observe a variety of incredibly well-cared-for species in comfortable surroundings. Taking the bus to Wellington Zoo is an easy way to get there and a stress-free choice on busy days when the parking lot is notorious to fill up. If you are as hungry as a hyena, stop by Mojo at the Zoo for a coffee with your breakfast or lunch, or pick up a small snack from the Tuck Shop in the park's core.
