West Village
West Village is a walkable, mixed-use urban development with a thriving local community and an abundance of quirky independent boutique businesses, retail outlets, and excellent eateries. The 150,000 square feet of retail space in West Village has everything you need for a thorough makeover. Begin at one of the area's two spas—Avalon Salon & Spa or Spa Habitat—before treating your hair to Floyd's Barbershop or getting tanned at Palm Beach Tan.
West Village is more of a retail district than a mall or shopping center, including brands such as Lucky Brand, Brooks Brothers, and The Gap, as well as a dozen or more independent apparel, accessories, gift, arts, and crafts shops selling anything from designer shoes to haute couture and one-of-a-kind items. Q Clothier and Nicole Kwon are two of the more fashionable brands available here. You can even get your hair done at Avalon Salon or Floyd's Barbershop.
West Village meals are typically casual: Tex-Mex, burgers, pizza, and sushi. However, people watching is excellent here, particularly on the patios of Mi Cocina and Taco Diner, two sister eateries on the development's south side. If you want to see a movie, The Magnolia is a five-screen theater that shows both mainstream and independent films. The over-21 crowd can enjoy a drink from Magnolia's bar in the theater.
