She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas in San Antonio, TX. She went on to receive a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics from Saint Louis University.
