WuXi Biologics

Investing €325 million in a new biopharmaceuticals contract manufacturing facility in Dundalk, Co. Louth, WuXi Biologics, a global Contract Research, Development and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO) that provides end-to-end solutions that enable partners to discover, develop, and manufacture biologics. The facility is less than an hour's drive from Ireland's two main cities and situated halfway between Dublin and Belfast.

The production facility will be built on a 26-hectare green site in Mullagharlin, Dundalk, controlled by the Irish Industrial Development Authority (IDA). Due to IDA's strong support for regional and real estate strategy, Dundalk was selected as the site of the site. IDA has supported the development of biopharmaceutical and knowledge-based facilities by ensuring pre-approved planning for key sites in the region.

One of the first and largest pharmaceutical projects by a Chinese company in Ireland is a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. It will include next-generation process technology as well as single-use bioreactors for commercial bioproduction. WuXi Biologics is one of the largest biotech companies in Ireland
