Wyzant is an online marketplace for instructors and students in educational technology. The headquarters of this organization is in Chicago, Illinois. Wyzant was formed in 2005 by Princeton grads Andrew Geant and Mike Weishuhn, who funded $10,000 from family and friends. Accel Partners invested $21.5 million in Wyzant in 2013.

Wyzant claims to teach more than 300 subjects online and in person to its users. Wyzant is a website that connects instructors of various sorts with students in need of their services. Tutors establish their own hourly rates, which are often between $30 and $60 per hour, and the site gets a percentage. Previously, the commission began at a staggering 40% and gradually decreased to 20%. As of January 2019, the site's conditions have been modified to charge all teachers a more acceptable 25% fee. Tutors are expected to complete the paperwork for each session within five days after the session's conclusion. Wyzant then processes the tutor's payment by direct deposit on the first and fifteenth of each month.
