Based on Rumiko Takahashi's manga of the same name, Inuyasha is an anime series. Studio Sunrise created the anime adaption, which was broadcast in Japan from October 2000 to September 2004. Inuyasha: The Final Act, which ran from October 2009 to March 2010, was the series that came after it. The story takes place in both contemporary Japan and Japan during the Sengoku era (the feudal era). It recounts the exploits of Kagome Higurashi, a 15-year-old who is sent back in time to the Sengoku era by a mystical well. Inuyasha, a half-demon with canine-like characteristics who is tethered to a sacred tree by a potent arrow, is there when she confronts him. Inuyasha is accidentally let free by Kagome, and the two of them set out on a mission to find the pieces of the potent Jewel of Four Souls that were broken and dispersed all over Japan.
