Like other Vietnamese Buddhist temples, Linh Thuu Thiền Tự follows the teachings of Theravada Buddhism, one of the oldest surviving traditions of Buddhism. Theravada Buddhism emphasizes the importance of personal discipline, meditation, and the Four Noble Truths.

For instance, the temple holds weekly services (chanting, meditation, and dharma talks) on every Sunday morning.
