The Simplehuman Compact Steel Frame dish rack is a useful addition to any kitchen. The stainless steel design is sleek and sophisticated, and the swivel spout can move with you, making it simple to spin if necessary. This model receives the highest overall grade in our evaluation, with good marks for simplicity of use, drainage and drying capacity, and aesthetics. The Simplehuman is ready to use right away and is tiny enough to fit in smaller kitchens. The four-piece design makes it simple to clean when necessary, and surfaces dry in seconds after use; it looks to last a long time in your kitchen.

The SANNO Large Expandable rack excels in terms of durability and dependability. During our side-by-side testing, we discovered that moving the rack from the over-the-sink position to the countertop and back was quite doable. The expanding handles are a robust feature that securely holds our 8 lb cast iron skillet. After more than a week of continuous usage, the stainless steel construction showed no symptoms of corrosion or rust. The Sweet Home do have a few flaws: it arrives with five minor chips in the mint vinyl finish. One chip is marginally noteworthy; the others are discernible following closer inspection. Another issue is that plates slant when they are in the rack holder. They may momentarily stand erect, but as further dishes are placed, one of the plates may unexpectedly lean forward, striking the others. The Polder KTH-615 is a four-piece kit that includes a very durable dark gray plastic drainage rack that rests at an angle to allow draining water to run out of the board's five-inch mouth. The stainless steel rack is sturdy, with six glass holders around the outside edge, which is a convenient feature. It stacks big dishes and bowls on the dish rack posts with great stability. When dealing with a higher load size, the removable drying tray comes in useful, and the cutlery bin is one of the largest found in our side-by-side testing. Overall, the Polder ranks top in the durability and sturdiness ratings, making it an excellent sink companion.

Specifically, while assembling the robust drain rack, it did not lock or snap into place onto the stainless steel rods, making it fairly difficult to reassemble if misaligned. Despite the drainboard's five-degree slope, water tends to pool up and halt at the edges; this is a recurring motif with many of the wide-mouth drainboards. The good news is that drainage boards may be simply emptied and dried after usage. Overall, the Polder has enough of room for our dishes and equipment; it may also be a suitable choice for bigger households.
