  1. Taking the top position in the list of the Best Family Comedies is Paddington. Paul King wrote and directed the live-action, animated comedy film Paddington in 2014. It was built from a story by King and Hamish McColl that was based on the tales of Michael Bond's fictional character Paddington Bear. Ben Whishaw voices the title character in David Heyman's animated film Paddington, which also has live-action performances by Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman.
