During their testing, they discovered that the bright, always-on color touch screen was a significant improvement over the Fitbit Charge 4 — it is easy to read in bright sunlight and is ideal for use during an HIIT workout or hike, though the lack of physical buttons made navigation a little fiddly when running.

The Fitbit Charge 5 will also be able to provide users with a "Daily Readiness Score," which is calculated using three metrics: fitness fatigue (activity), heart rate variability (HRV), and recent sleep. This is a good choice if you're seeking for a tracker that looks nice on your wrist, is simple to read in bright sunshine, and offers some great capabilities for the price. If you're using a Fitbit Charge 3 or older, the color screen alone is worth the investment.

The $99 Fitbit Inspire 2 is the greatest entry-level activity band and the finest Fitbit for you if you're new to fitness monitoring. The Inspire 2 provides basic health data, automatic workout tracking, and reliable sleep insights for a third of the price of the company's smartwatches. It also includes a year of Fitbit Premium for free. The Inspire 2 has a 10-day battery life, making it Fitbit's longest-lasting device. Because there is no GPS or audio storage, you'll need to work out with your phone nearby. It does, however, contain Active Zone Minutes, a feature found on Fitbit's more expensive models that tracks how much time you spend exercising in the fat-burning, cardio, or peak heart-rate zones.

The affordability, the comfy, lightweight design, and the fact that it comes with a year of Fitbit Premium impressed us during the testing. The lack of in-built GPS on this watch is a disadvantage for tracking activities outdoors, but if you don't mind carrying your phone with you, don't let this deter you.

The Fitbit Charge 4 not only has GPS integrated in — a first for Fitbit activity trackers — but it also includes a new statistic called Active Zone Minutes that provides a better estimate of your overall health. Fitbit Pay allows you to use the Fitbit Charge 4 as a contactless payment device at participating establishments. Also, for those who use Spotify, the Charge 4 now offers Spotify controls, however you still can't load music onto the device.

They found the Charge 4 to be comfortable to wear and that its GPS was reliable when they went for runs. It can also measure sleep and, thanks to its SPO2 sensor, can notify you if you're at danger for sleep apnea. When utilizing GPS, the Charge 4 can last up to seven days, but just five hours. That's not quite up to par with the greatest GPS watches, but it's adequate for a fitness tracker. The Fitbit Charge 3 was previously our top selection for the finest Fitbit, but the Fitbit Charge 4, which has GPS and a few other features, has surpassed it. But that doesn't negate the fact that the Charge 3 is still a terrific device, and it's now dirt cheap thanks to the Fitbit Charge 5. The Charge 3 includes a reasonably large grayscale touchscreen display that shows your heart rate, distance walked, and notifications from your smartphone, if connected. It's designed for folks who want to stay healthy and in shape but won't be running marathons. The Charge 3 can also track your laps in the pool and is waterproof.

Because the Charge 3 is available in three sizes, it should fit most wrists (Fitbit has a sizing chart on its site). Furthermore, the Charge 3's strap is detachable, and Fitbit, as well as a variety of third-party manufacturers, provide straps in a variety of colors, patterns, and materials. The Fitbit Charge 3 also boasts a week-long battery life and a SpO2 sensor to assess breathing abnormalities while sleeping. Although it still requires a smartphone to connect to GPS, it's still a terrific Fitbit for the money – at least while supplies last.

Fitbit Luxe, priced at $150, appears to turn fitness tracking into a fashion statement. The Fitbit Luxe is the first exercise band we've seen in a long time that will pass as wrist candy. Unlike some of the top Fitbit models, the Fitbit Luxe features a color touchscreen and stainless steel casing with metallic finishes, as well as a color touchscreen.
