Jack Thorne's 2016 British two-part play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Thorne. It is currently being performed in six different cities around the world: London, New York, Melbourne, San Francisco, Hamburg, and Toronto. The plays depict what happens after the films end, and the story is performed live on stage: "While Harry struggles with a past that refuses to stay put, his youngest son Albus must bear the burden of a family legacy he never wanted." As the past and present merge ominously, both father and son learn the unsettling truth: "Darkness can come from unexpected places."

The Palace Theatre in London's West End hosts the show, and Leicester Square is the closest tube station. It's only a 5-minute walk to the theater. The play is divided into two acts, with performances available from Wednesday to Sunday. If you want to see both parts of the play in one day, the best days to go are Wednesdays and Saturdays, when Part 1 begins at 2pm and Part 2 begins at 7.30pm. Tickets start at £15 per performance (£30 for both parts), but can cost up to £80 per performance (£160 for both parts) depending on seating. It's easy to locate the luggage trolley embedded in the wall. Take the tube to Kings Cross Underground Station and then to Kings Cross Rail Station, following the exit signs. Once inside the overground station, look for the large black departure boards that list all of the train departure times. Turn to the left when facing the boards, and you won't miss it. The Harry Potter shop is right next door. Time turners, horcruxes, and games, as well as Hogwarts school jumpers in house colors, are available in this shop, which is designed to look like Ollivander's wand emporium.

The trolley is open 24 hours a day, and you are not charged to take your own photographs. Every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., a professional photographer is on hand. Offering the service of photographing you with a scarf in your house colors, which is then displayed and sold inside the Harry Potter shop next door.
