Who says that we cannot make a movie about Lego building blocks? By giving lives to these inanimate objects, the Lego brand has successfully produced one of ... read more...

  1. What makes The Lego Movie such a success? The characters? Yep. The story? Oh right. What about the music? Indeed, indeed!

Do you know why the little plot twist at the end of the movie works so well? Because it fits naturally into the narrative. When compared to the second Lego Movie film -which recycles the meta-narrative and appears slightly forced -it is clear why so many people adored the first film. It was absolutely fresh and different at the time it got released, and it still seems this way to many of us now.

Yes, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord did an excellent job with their first Lego picture. Before this movie got released, we would not have thought that you could create a compelling story out of what are basically building blocks; but by giving these blocks some soul and great, greater conversations - turning them into lovable and endearing protagonists like Wyldstyle and Emmet - the movie achieved an incredible feat that can never be replicated by any movie! The Lego Movie (2014 is indeed one of the best Lego movies of all time.

  2. The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Ninjago Movie were both released in 2017, and the disparities in quality are nearly astounding. Batman, dubbed by Will Arnett, had a short but memorable role in the original Lego Movie, but giving this character his own feature might have gone horribly wrong. However, by passionately parodying not just Batman, but also superhero comic books and culture in general, The Lego Batman Movie becomes an enduring Lego film.

Yes, The Lego Batman Movie is very wacky (the audience particularly adores The Phantom Zone scene, where every single item spills out of the circle). It also has Zach Galifianakis, who plays one of the finest Jokers ever, and that is the reason why this Lego movie is elevated to one of the best Batman pictures in general.

Similar to The Lego Movie, it is self-referential, but in a manner that nearly rewards longstanding Batman fans. In addition, it is quite humorous and maybe the smartest and most humorous out of all Lego movie releases. It deserves a spot on our list of the best Lego movies of all time!

  3. Is The Lego Movie 2 as entertaining as its predecessor? Obviously not, since it is lower on our list; but we believe it deserved to have higher ticket sales than it actually did!

The Lego Movie 2 has much more room for Duplo - which was foreshadowed at the conclusion of The Lego Movie 1- and it also has a metaplot in between, like the first film. But this round, the Lego Movie 2 focuses on the brother and sister, who are always squabbling. The whole story just simply follows their sibling conflict. As parents of young children who often quarrel, some older audiences will find this narrative to be really relevant! This film is also crowded with characters and superheroes, but Jason Momoa's performance as Aquaman is the most impressive, which apparently makes this movie canon inside the Snyderverse.

If the first film did not exist, the second picture would rank higher on this list. The overall "Systar System" plot is quite unique; however, it seems that most of the humor worked much better in the previous film than in the second one.

  4. Young Master Craftsman Lloyd, a.k.a. The Green Ninja, and his pals, who are also covert ninja warriors, are called to action by the big fight in their Ninjago City. They must overcome the terrible tyrant Garmadon - who also seems to be Lloyd's father - under the leadership of the witty and intelligent Master Wu. The epic battle pits the father against his son, and challenges these ferocious but undisciplined contemporary ninjas to control their egos and work together to release the inner strength of Spinjitzu.

The Lego Ninjago Movie is by far one of the most recent animated films to draw influence from martial arts, after the Kung Fu Panda series and Big Hero 6. In this Lego installment with an Asian flavor, only a gang of adolescent Ninjas stands between the Ninjago City and all the daily onslaught of the wicked Lord Garmadon.

Ingenious usage of sharks as missiles and the six-toed hairy monster Meowthra are the best highlights of the movie. We highly recommend The Lego Ninjago Movie for lovers of goofy flicks, due to its exceptional frivolity and humor!

  5. Wrapping up this list is The Lego DC Super Hero Girls. As you could have guessed from the title, this movie revolves around some of the most popular female heroes from DC: Young Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and Batgirl!

In the movie, the three young heroes attend Super Hero High School, a school that is attended by many other DC Comics female characters. Even some of the most famous supervillains are also here; you could recognize the class clown Harley Quinn and her unique costume anywhere! The story begins when Lena Luthor establishes a rival academy as part of her scheme to steal a number of valuable artifacts.

This installment of the direct-to-video animation film series aimed to sell plastic toys to young girls. it takes place in a universe significantly less eccentric than that of The Lego Movie and its spinoffs, but still fun nonetheless! There is also some occasional witticism scattered throughout The Lego DC Super Hero Girls, such as Supergirl's bewilderment at why people continue to fall for her eyeglasses disguise.
