The China Scholarship Council administers the CGS program, which is the best scholarship available in China for international students.

It offers a variety of scholarships, including Type A. The tuition for a Chinese or English-taught program, as well as the preparation year, is covered by the Bilateral program.

Aside from free university housing (or a subsidy), the scholarship also offers a stipend and comprehensive medical insurance.

Students can apply to two Chinese colleges through this scholarship by contacting the Chinese embassy in their native country.

This China scholarship, also known as the Chinese University program, is only available to international graduate students who seek to enroll in specific institutions.

The CGS type B program covers any graduate degree taught in Chinese or English, as well as the student's preparatory year.

The Type B scholarship, like all CGS programs, includes a stipend, free board/accommodation, and medical insurance.

Unlike the Type A scholarship, the Type B program allows applicants to submit their applications directly to the university. The above standards apply, with the exception that arts students must submit a collection of their work.

An annual review of CGS awards is conducted. This is done prior to the next school year's money being released.

Beijing, like the Chinese government, provides financial aid to international students through the Beijing Government Scholarship program.

BGS is a scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate students that covers the whole cost of tuition for 1 (Bachelor's and Master's degrees) to 3 years (Ph.D.)

Those who have already accepted a scholarship will be ineligible for the BGS.

Ph.D. students supported by the BGS must undergo a rigorous annual evaluation every April in order for their scholarship to be extended.

Receiving, analyzing, and approving applications is left to the receiving university by the Beijing government.

Shanghai, like Beijing, gives foreign students studying in Shanghai colleges full-fledged scholarships in China.

There are two sorts of scholarships available. Because it covers the entire tuition amount, Type A is suitable for undergraduate and graduate students. It also covers living and lodging expenses, as well as the cost of medical insurance.

The Type B scholarship, on the other hand, only pays for a portion of the tuition. It is, however, open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Students must be at least 25 years old for undergraduate applications, 35 years old for Master's students, and 40 years old for Ph.D. applicants to be considered.

To be eligible for the Shanghai government scholarship, you must have an HSK level of 4 or higher.

Fujian, a Chinese province in the southeast, offers fully-funded scholarships to international students who aspire to study in its universities.

The Fujian Government Scholarship is divided into several categories, including:

• Government Special Scholarship Program – RMB 60,000 ($9,280) per person per year
• Study in Fujian Program – RMB 30,000 ($4,640) per person per year
• Trainees Program – RMB 30,000 ($4,640) per person per year
• Fujian university recruitment programs – RMB 30,000 ($4,640) to RMB 50,000 ($7,730) per person per year

Students must submit a completed application form, a photocopy of their highest diploma (notarized), a study or research plan, and a portfolio of artworks to apply for any of these scholarship programs (for arts students).

Applicants must be between the ages of 30 and 40 for undergraduates and 40 for master's students, like with most Chinese scholarship programs for international students. Potential associate professors must be at least 50 years old to be considered.

Foreign students with master's degrees who intend to pursue a doctoral degree at a Chinese university are eligible for the Ph.D. in China Fellowship.

The scholarship will cover three years of study, as well as a living/research allowance, medical/accident insurance, and annual travel costs (economy class only).

Students must submit an application form, a notarized copy of their highest academic diploma, a transcript of records, a master's thesis abstract (or other research works), and a research plan for the desired doctoral degree to be considered for this China fellowship.

A personal statement, two recommendation letters, and a statement of guarantee are also required of applicants.

Foreigners studying at institutions abroad can apply for the Joint Research Ph.D. program. The scholarship will cover the costs of the applicant's studies, research, and dissertation at a Chinese university.

Apart from tuition, this foreign student fellowship in China will cover the awardee's lodging and living stipend, round-trip airfare, life/medical insurance, research fund, and the supervisor's visit to China.

The student must earn a score of 3 or better on the HSK transcript test to be considered.

A Ph.D. study certificate, two letters of recommendation, an abstract of a master's thesis or other research project, and a research plan for the anticipated study in China are also required.

The required documentation should be sent to the Confucius Institute's headquarters in the applicant's current study country.

Peking University, China's second-best university, provides fully-funded scholarships to outstanding international students. However, one requirement of the grant is that the student not be pursuing a joint degree or an English-taught program.

The PKUS also offers a living stipend, housing assistance, and medical insurance, in addition to partial or full tuition coverage.

Before the scholarship is renewed, PKUS grantees are subjected to an annual evaluation.

The Silk Road Muduo Scholarship at BNU is offered to students from nations along the 'One Belt and One Road' initiative.

This China scholarship program includes complete tuition reimbursement, housing allowances/living stipends, and medical coverage.

Students are chosen for undergraduate programs based on their admission exam scores and other test results.

Master's and Ph.D. recipients, on the other hand, are picked based on their previous academic achievements. Their ability to do study and innovate is also taken into account.

Every May, Muduo scholars on the Silk Road are evaluated.

Future global leaders who intend to pursue a Master's degree at Tsinghua University are eligible for the Schwarzman Scholarship. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 29 to be considered for this China scholarship. They must also achieve the required English proficiency test results.

The Schwarzman Scholarship is given to roughly 200 applicants, with 45 percent coming from the United States. Other countries will account for 35% of the applicants, while Chinese applicants will account for 20% of the places.

Schwarzman scholars will receive room/board subsidies, a personal stipend, book/supply subsidies, roundtrip flights to Beijing, and health insurance in addition to fully subsidized tuition.
