  1. The China Scholarship Council administers the CGS program, which is the best scholarship available in China for international students.


    It offers a variety of scholarships, including Type A. The tuition for a Chinese or English-taught program, as well as the preparation year, is covered by the Bilateral program.


    Aside from free university housing (or a subsidy), the scholarship also offers a stipend and comprehensive medical insurance.


    Students can apply to two Chinese colleges through this scholarship by contacting the Chinese embassy in their native country.

  2. This China scholarship, also known as the Chinese University program, is only available to international graduate students who seek to enroll in specific institutions.


    The CGS type B program covers any graduate degree taught in Chinese or English, as well as the student's preparatory year.

  3. Beijing, like the Chinese government, provides financial aid to international students through the Beijing Government Scholarship program.


    BGS is a scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate students that covers the whole cost of tuition for 1 (Bachelor's and Master's degrees) to 3 years (Ph.D.)


    Those who have already accepted a scholarship will be ineligible for the BGS.


    Ph.D. students supported by the BGS must undergo a rigorous annual evaluation every April in order for their scholarship to be extended.

  4. Shanghai, like Beijing, gives foreign students studying in Shanghai colleges full-fledged scholarships in China.


    There are two sorts of scholarships available. Because it covers the entire tuition amount, Type A is suitable for undergraduate and graduate students. It also covers living and lodging expenses, as well as the cost of medical insurance.

  5. Fujian, a Chinese province in the southeast, offers fully-funded scholarships to international students who aspire to study in its universities.


    The Fujian Government Scholarship is divided into several categories, including:

    • Government Special Scholarship Program – RMB 60,000 ($9,280) per person per year
    • Study in Fujian Program – RMB 30,000 ($4,640) per person per year
    • Trainees Program – RMB 30,000 ($4,640) per person per year
    • Fujian university recruitment programs – RMB 30,000 ($4,640) to RMB 50,000 ($7,730) per person per year

  6. Foreign students with master's degrees who intend to pursue a doctoral degree at a Chinese university are eligible for the Ph.D. in China Fellowship.


    The scholarship will cover three years of study, as well as a living/research allowance, medical/accident insurance, and annual travel costs (economy class only).


    Students must submit an application form, a notarized copy of their highest academic diploma, a transcript of records, a master's thesis abstract (or other research works), and a research plan for the desired doctoral degree to be considered for this China fellowship.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 29 to be considered for this China scholarship. They must also achieve the required English proficiency test results.


    The Schwarzman Scholarship is given to roughly 200 applicants, with 45 percent coming from the United States. Other countries will account for 35% of the applicants, while Chinese applicants will account for 20% of the places.


    Schwarzman scholars will receive room/board subsidies, a personal stipend, book/supply subsidies, roundtrip flights to Beijing, and health insurance in addition to fully subsidized tuition.
