The Tesla Cybertruck may appear to have been delivered by an extraterrestrial race, but it has the power to compete with any of the top-selling pickup trucks. Tesla's all-electric truck is pretty rugged, with a sharp-edged body constructed of scratch- and dent-resistant stainless steel. The Cybertruck can tow up to 14,000 pounds and has a driving range of 500 miles or more, thanks to its all-wheel drive. While it is true for the most costly model, the lowest affordable model starts at $39,900. Of course, they still don't know much about the Cybertruck, including when it will be available for purchases. Tesla has delayed the truck's production timeline several times already, but on April 7, 2022, CEO Elon Musk again promised that the truck is coming and will be out in 2023.

Tesla is expanding its inventory to include a pickup truck, which is one of America's most popular body shapes. Given how well trucks sell in this nation, the Cybertruck gives the company a potentially strong seller with extremely excellent metrics for both an EV and a pickup. However, it will face immediate competition from the Ford F-150 Lightning, the GMC Hummer EV, and the Rivian R1T. Tesla has revolutionized the electric car industry, and the 2022 Model 3 is the most affordable way to acquire one of these technological wonders. It borrows certain styling ideas from Tesla's Model S sedan and Model X SUV, but it distinguishes apart with an all-glass roof and a unique interior design. The Edition 3 features rapid acceleration and a pleasant chassis, especially in the Performance model, which has a sharper suspension and a track driving mode. TESLA 2022 Model S ranked 3rd in the list of best Tesla Car models. You wouldn't have the growing number of electric vehicles you have today if it weren't for it, but the Tesla Model S 2022 remains one of the most attractive and desirable options in that rapidly developing market category. It also makes our Editors' Choice list for 2022. The S can easily be used for extended travels, with up to 412 miles of estimated driving range depending on model, and the 1020-hp Plaid version can give supercar acceleration while seating four adults.

With a spacious back storage room and a secondary front-trunk for extra capacity, the Model S is very practical. The Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-tron GT are two new entrants in the premium EV sedan category, both of which challenge the Model S in terms of performance and comfort, but the Model S's greater range and available semi-autonomous driving technologies continue to drive customers to this Tesla.

Elon Musk may say crazy things, but his electric cars have revolutionized the world, and the Model S would not have been conceivable without them. The Model S sedan from Tesla was the first mass-market vehicle to show that electric vehicles could be pleasant to drive, ecologically benign, and practical for daily transportation and even lengthy trips. It is without a doubt one of the best Tesla car models to purchase. Depending on which trim you choose, the Model S can go between 390 and 520 miles on a single charge and offers performance that matches some of the world's top supercars.

The Model S delivers full-time all-wheel drive regardless of the version you choose, with an electric motor dedicated to each of the front and rear axles. The various variants' acceleration varies from excellent to fierce. They haven't yet tried the Model S Long Range or Plaid, but our 2020 Model S test vehicle clocked in at 2.4 seconds from zero to 60 mph and provided hours of enjoyment thanks to its rapid power delivery. The Plaid variant has a third electric motor, bringing the total output to 1020 horsepower and allowing it to reach 60 mph in 2.1 seconds in our testing. The regular Model S has proven to be a responsive sports sedan with precise steering and body motions. Drivers can pick between heavy and mild steering effort in two separate settings, although neither of them allows for more road sensation. On the highway, the ride comfort is good, the handling is precise, and it's confident and almost serene.

The Tesla Model X, which will be released in 2022, is a perfect representation of the EV automakers' brand ethos. It delivers a unique-but-expensive option in the expanding EV-crossover sector, being quick, high-tech, and boasting a flamboyant gimmick in its Falcon-wing rear doors. The Model X comes standard with two electric motors producing 670 horsepower and all-wheel drive; a three-motor variant dubbed Plaid produces 1020 horsepower and is reported to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds.

According to Tesla, the mega-motor version will be available in late 2022. The Model X isn't as agile as the mechanically comparable Model S sedan, but considering its size and weight, it's surprisingly so. The cabin is a study in modernism, with a massive screen dominating the dashboard and giving touch-sensitive access to the Model X's most important features. A third row of seats can accommodate the entire family, and captain's chairs can be added to the second row.

The Plaid variant, with its three electric motors, is guaranteed to produce blistering acceleration, but it'll set you back a pretty penny. They'd save the money because its estimated driving range of 335 miles isn't as lengthy as the less expensive base model. The base Model X has a driving range of up to 351 miles and nevertheless feels incredibly speedy thanks to the electric motors' instantaneous power delivery.

All-wheel-drive functionality is standard on the Model X's base model, which has two electric motors—one at the front axle and one at the back axle. This system is quite quick, with Tesla claiming a 3.8-second zero-to-60-mph pace. The 1020-horsepower three-motor Plaid high-performance edition claims a 2.5-second zero-to-60-mph time, but they haven't validated this at our test track yet. TESLA 2022 Model Y ranked 5th in the list of Best Tesla Car Models. The Tesla Model Y is a practical compact crossover that embodies everything that people love about the Tesla brand. This is effectively an SUV version of the Tesla Model 3, with the same interior and exterior aesthetics, engaging performance, and long range. The Model Y has a basic dual-motor, all-wheel-drive layout, a roomier interior, and optional 3-row seating.

The Model Y will be offered in two trim levels in 2022: Long Range and Performance. The Long Range variant has a greater range (up to 330 miles) and an optional third row, whilst the Performance model has faster acceleration and a higher top speed, but it also has a smaller range, a higher price tag, and no third row. There are no noteworthy modifications for the 2022 Tesla Model Y as of this writing. Tesla, on the other hand, sends out over-the-air software upgrades on a regular basis, some huge and some little.

The Model Y delivers the kind of exciting performance that has been synonymous with the Tesla brand. With a 0-60 mph pace of 4.8 seconds in the Long Range variant and just 3.5 seconds in the Performance model, its dual-motor electric engine offers rapid torque to all four wheels, resulting in quick acceleration.

The Enhanced variant comes with performance brakes and a lowered suspension, in addition to a faster peak speed and 0-60 time. It all comes together to offer a thrilling driving experience that is also practical. The Performance variant still has a range of over 300 miles on electric power. While the Model Y's thrilling performance — even in base trim — is appealing, the vehicle's ride is a little stiff for a premium SUV. If you want a premium crossover with a smooth, supple ride, a hybrid luxury SUV like the Lexus RX Hybrid is a good option.

The second generation Tesla Roadster has been in development for several years, but due to ongoing delays, it will not be available until 2023. When it does, though, it should provide performance that is unrivaled by current standards. Seriously, it sounds like quite the beast. The new supercar, which is based on the original Roadster, which helped catapult Tesla into the spotlight in 2008, boasts scorching performance numbers. A 1.9-second 0-60 mph pace, a 4.2-second 0-100 time, a top speed of nearly 250 mph, and a range of up to 620 miles.

Tesla's Roadster 2022 follows the mid-year reveal of its 1000bhp Tesla Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid saloons, with the revised cars bringing improved performance thanks to a new tri-motor electric system based on the Plaid powertrain. This, paired with improved battery technology, allows the Model S to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.99 seconds. The Cybertruck's tri-motor flagship variant was originally supposed to be capable of traveling over 500 kilometers on a single charge. The Tesla Roadster, which had previously been delayed a couple of times, was slated for a 2022 release.However, due to supply chain constraints, production will not begin until 2023. Elon Musk first announced the delay on Twitter(opens in new tab) in September 2021, and reaffirmed it during Tesla's annual shareholders meeting. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk later announced that the Roadster will go into production in 2023, likely after the Cybertruck.

People who have put down a $50,000 deposit to secure a tesla car that was initially expected to cost $200,000 for the base model will be irritated by the ongoing delays. Reservations have always been available, which is more than the Cybertruck can boast, but the final price has now been withdrawn from the Tesla website. Given the supply chain challenges and Tesla's almost endless price increases on existing models, don't be surprised if the Roadster costs much more than expected. A $50,000 deposit is required for reservations, with $5,000 due at the time of booking. Within 10 days, the remaining $45,000 must be paid. Tesla also has plans for a Founders Series vehicle, which will be limited to 1,000 units and will be priced at $250,000; that's real supercar money.

Tesla has revolutionized the electric-car world on its own, and the Model 3 is the cheapest way to acquire one of the company's technological marvels in your driveway. The Model 3, a four-door sedan of the same size as the BMW 3-series, has rapid acceleration and a futuristic, minimalist interior. There are several battery configurations to choose from, and all models are rated to travel more than 200 miles on a single charge; the Long Range model claims a range of 322 miles. The Performance model accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds in our testing. While the Model 3 is the cheapest Tesla you can buy, the $36,200 Standard Range model is available only by special order at physical Tesla stores; the least expensive version available to order online is the $39,190 Standard Range Plus.

Tesla regularly updates its vehicles with over-the-air software updates and, on rare occasions, new mechanical components, but the firm does not release updates on a model-year basis. As a result, they can't say what upgrades the Model 3 will get in the next months, and Tesla won't say anything about what the future contains in terms of updates. The Model 3 has recently received new features such as lane-keep assist and standard Autopilot functionality (the company's term for its autonomous-driving feature), as well as enhanced V3 Supercharger network charging.

Elon Musk may say some crazy things, but one thing is certain: his electric vehicles have transformed the world. The Model S was the first long-range, much wanted electric vehicle when it debuted in 2012, and mainstream automakers have been trying to catch up ever since. The Model S is still impressive—the Long Range Plus edition now has an EPA-estimated range of 402 miles—but despite its emphasis on autonomous technology, over-the-air updates, and Easter eggs, Tesla's interiors and build quality occasionally fall short of expectations. Better-established luxury automakers are finally getting in on the EV game—Porsche's Taycan is aimed directly at the Model S, for example—and Tesla will need all its Silicon Valley pivot-power to stay ahead of the pack.

Tesla maintains it doesn't believe in model years, but the tenth digit of its vehicle identification numbers (VINs) proves otherwise. Tesla debuted a Standard Range Model S in mid-2019, but it was cancelled just weeks later, leaving the 2020 Model S with only a Long Range Plus model with 402 miles of range, which was achieved after Tesla made careful changes. It features a 348-mile EPA-estimated range and a 2.4-second zero-to-60-mph speed in Performance trim. This year, the car's front drive unit and motor have been changed, and the S's air suspension has been upgraded to be adaptable, allowing for a smoother ride on the highway and a firmer ride around turns.

The Model S is a nimble sports sedan with precise driving and well-controlled body movements. Drivers can choose between heavy and mild steering effort in two separate settings, although neither of them provides greater feedback from the road ahead. The Model S has good ride comfort, and it gives off a sturdy sensation on the road that nicely complements its peacefulness when driving.

The 2020 Tesla Model X could be the most environmentally friendly—and one of the fastest—way to transport up to seven passengers over rough terrain. The Model X, as the crossover cousin to the brand's famed Model S sedan, is genuinely functional, with all-wheel drive, a high-tech cabin with seating for up to seven people, and the attractive but fiddly Falcon Wing doors. Two models are available, each having a driving range of over 300 miles and remarkable acceleration thanks to two onboard electric motors; the Model X also handles well for such a large SUV, thanks in part to its batteries being positioned in the floor, resulting in a low center of gravity. The cabin is snazzy and rich with technology, but those expecting outright luxury will be disappointed.

The Performance model with Ludicrous mode would undoubtedly be the most thrilling, but it's also the most costly, and its 305-mile estimated driving range isn't as long as the less expensive Long Range model, so we'd save the $20,000 and go with the less expensive Long Range variant. The Long Range model adds 20 miles to the anticipated driving range while still feeling brisk thanks to the electric motors' immediate power delivery.

Because Tesla, unlike almost every other manufacturer, makes continuous running updates to its products throughout each calendar year, it's difficult to determine exactly what's new on 2020 Model Xs. Tesla promotes more efficient electric motors, faster charging via more robust onboard chargers, and a fully adaptive air suspension system in a blog post on its consumer site. At Germany's legendary Nürburgring race track, Tesla is also testing a new form of the Model S—the Model X's sedan relative. It also hinted to an improved powerplant and a new Plaid Option performance driving mode that could be offered on both the S and X variants in the future.

All Model Xs come equipped with two electric motors, one at the front axle and the other at the rear, allowing for all-wheel drive. The baseline Long Range variant is speedy, with a 4.4-second zero-to-60-mph time claimed by Tesla. There's also a high-performance option with a 305-mile range and a stated zero-to-60-mph time of 2.7 seconds when the Ludicrous Mode is active. The Model X's handling is great, but its real show-stopper is the powerful acceleration provided by its electric motors.

2020 Model Y ranks last in the list of best Tesla Car models. The all-electric Model Y compact crossover, which shares its platform and much of its cabin with the Model 3 sedan, is Tesla's most ambitious project yet. The Model Y has a major mission as Tesla's first compact SUV: appealing to luxury SUV purchasers who want an EV to replace a gas-powered option from manufacturers like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. The all-wheel drive Long Range variant will have a huge battery pack that will allow up to 316 miles of driving range; performance and rear-wheel drive Long Range models will also be available. The 2020 Tesla Model Y looks like a tall version of the compact Model 3 sedan but can be outfitted with a third row of seats for a total seating capacity of seven.

The all-wheel drive Long Range and Performance variants offer 316 and 315 miles of driving range, respectively, when buying an electric car. Tesla has yet to reveal the range of its future rear-wheel-drive Long Range model. As a result, we'd recommend the all-wheel-drive Long Range, which is mid-priced and has lots of performance. Tesla gives only a few options for personalizing your Model Y, including only five exterior colors, three of which cost an extra $1000 or $2000. Also, buyers looking for the optional third row of seats will have to wait until the 2021 model year.

The 2020 Model Y lineup will eventually include a budget-friendly trim (in this case, a rear-wheel-drive version of the Long Range model), but the all-wheel-drive Long Range and Performance models will be available first. We were able to test an all-wheel-drive Long Range thanks to a generous Car and Driver reader, which clocked in at 4.4 seconds from zero to 60 mph, just 0.4 seconds slower than our long-term Model 3 sedan. Although the Model Y has amazing acceleration, it does not provide the same level of driving pleasure as the Model 3. The SUV body creates a higher center of gravity, which dulls the sharp edge of the Model 3's handling, and the Y's ride is considerably rougher over road imperfections as well.
