Chad's capital and largest city is N'Djamena. It is also a distinct legal jurisdiction, organized into ten districts or arrondissements. It's a regional livestock, salt, dates, and grain market. The main industries include meat, fish, and cotton processing, and the city continues to function as Chad's economic hub.

N'djamena is a mash-up of contemporary and historical cultures. Because many inhabitants of the country desire the opportunities that come with life in the city, N'Djamena's population is rising at an alarming rate. Despite some buildings' modern appearances, many mud-brick constructions will remind you that you are still in one of the world's poorest countries. The vibrant bars must be fueled by hundreds of generators that bolster the national grid since the nightlife here is absolutely incredible. During the day, the national museum, which chronicles Chad's history over thousands of years, and the central market are the two primary attractions.

Sarh, previously Fort-Archambault, is a city located on the Chari River in southern Chad, north-central Africa. It is the country's third largest city and is named for the dominant ethnic group, the Sara. The French Colonial Fort Archambault was previously located in Sarh. It is located on the Chari River, approximately 350 kilometers from N'Djamena, the capital city. The climate is warm, with a wet season, ideal for cotton production, which is the city's principal export. Visitors will find that the city has an international airport and that, despite the lack of tourist attractions, it has a vibrant performing arts scene. In Sarh, music and concerts will keep you delighted till the wee hours of the morning.

The city is also a significant marketplace with a refrigerated slaughterhouse and a commercial fishing center. Sarh is located on the main road connecting N'Djamena (Chad's capital) and Bangui (capital of the Central African Republic). The city has an airport, and the Chari River is navigable for much of the year between Sarh and N'Djamena.

Zakouma National Park, in Chad's south-eastern region, is about 3,000 square kilometers in size. The main park is situated in a swampy area that is home to 50 different species of mammals. It is regarded as one of the remaining true wildlife refuges in Central Africa, and it is regarded as one of the most successful conservation projects in the region. Rare and diverse mammalian and avian species abound in the park. The Tinga Camp, which can accommodate up to 490 people, is located in the park's best game viewing region. Like sculptures, caves, ponds, and stone arches emerge from the sand. Many petroglyphs - thousands-year-old rock paintings - were uncovered on the rocks at the turn of the century.
