Zakouma National Park
Zakouma National Park, in Chad's south-eastern region, is about 3,000 square kilometers in size. The main park is situated in a swampy area that is home to 50 different species of mammals. It is regarded as one of the remaining true wildlife refuges in Central Africa, and it is regarded as one of the most successful conservation projects in the region. Rare and diverse mammalian and avian species abound in the park. The Tinga Camp, which can accommodate up to 490 people, is located in the park's best game viewing region. You can savor your meal while taking in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
You may see serval, giraffe, and elephant herds here. Lions and crocodiles, as well as unique members of the fauna such as the water goat and baboons, live in the park as predators. The park's territory is secured by an armed convoy to discourage poachers, and many of its residents are registered in the Red Book. The Shari Rivers and their tributaries go through the park. The park is home to around 250 different bird species. You may watch animals in their natural habitats here.
