Dicks Sweets is a family-run business that has been trading since 1938. They produce a wide range of products with each one offering an individual taste sensation. Coach House Nougat is a company specializing in the production of nougat. Nougat candy, also known as love candy, can conquer anyone by its lovely appearance.

The Macadamias used in the nougat grow in orchards of lush grass overlooking the valleys and peaks of the northern Drakensberg. The nuts are picked, sorted, and cracked, then graded again. The nuts are then sent to the almond kitchen where they are warmed thoroughly before being added to a mixture of molten honey, sugar, and egg white. The mixture is beaten well before being placed on rice paper on a baking sheet. More rice paper is then placed on top and the confection weighed down till cool. It is then cut into square or oblong pieces. Nougat is hand-cut and hand-wrapped. They use only the best, freshest ingredients possible.

With an amazing team of confectioners, who are mostly from disadvantaged and humble backgrounds, they have learned to create delicious confectionery to send to all parts of the country.
