    Mall of America

    The Mall of America is one of the largest shopping malls located in Bloomington, Minnesota, a suburb of its sister city in Minnesota, USA. It is southeast of the Interstate 494 and Minnesota Interstate 77 junction, north of the Minnesota River, and intersects the Interstate at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.


    Mall of America opened in 1992, and by 2021 it will become the 8th largest shopping center in the world and the largest shopping center in the Western Hemisphere. Approximately 40 million people visit the mall each year, with 80% of visitors coming from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Dakota, Illinois, Ohio, and Canada.     West Edmonton Mall (WEM) is a shopping center located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is the second-most visited mall in Canada after Toronto Eaton Center in Toronto, followed by Metrotown Mall in Burnaby, and in the world (along with Dubai Mall) in terms of total rental area.
