Every year, the Village festa, which is largely a religious celebration, is celebrated in their honor. Depending on the number of churches in the area, each village honors a different patron saint or two. Every church is named after a different saint. As a result, some towns hold multiple feasts throughout the year. The Village festa is organized by the village band groups, sometimes in partnership with parishioners.

Even though there is only one celebration in the town, the competition between the band clubs can be severe when it comes to the organization of decorations and fireworks performances. It's much more difficult when the community honors two different patron saints, each of whom is honored by a different band group.

The festivals take place during the summer. For the local community, this is a moment of immense joy. There are numerous traditions and customs related to the festa.

Apart from the Pyro Musical Displays, the Malta International Fireworks Festival gained a more unique international position when traditional Maltese fireworks were included. PyroMusical Display is defined as a pyrotechnical display coordinated with music. PyroMusical Displays make use of less expensive fireworks to produce a fireworks spectacular that is coordinated to a musical theme. Traditional local fireworks, on the other hand, are more intricate, remaining true to local, authentic, hand-crafted manufacture. Local participants show off their skills with artisanal fireworks that cannot be compared to the machine-made fireworks that are commonly imported.

The Malta International Fireworks Festival takes place in seven different sites over seven days, three of which will hold a competition between foreign and local participants, and the last day of the festival will be the 'Grand Finale,' where the Malta Tourism Authority will reveal the Jury's winner. This is one of the most famous festivals in Malta.

The Malta International Music Festival, which was founded in 2011 by the European Foundation for Support of Culture, is now one of Malta's most major cultural events. The festival brings together young, future talents and the world's most famous performers through concert events, masterclasses, and regular competitions in all fields of instrumental music.

Malta, located south of Sicily and once home to knights and pirates, is now one of Europe's most beautiful locations. The Malta International Music Festival, which takes place in Valletta, the island republic's capital, and Floriana, kicks off a season of summer events across the Mediterranean.

Earth Garden is Malta’s largest Alternative Music Festival and one of the most famous festivals in Malta. Since 2007, it has been held annually at the National Park, attracting over 25,000 true music lovers from all over the world over four days.

It has five music zones and approximately 120 artists from across the world performing a diverse mix of World Music, Ska, Funk, Blues, Reggae, Alternative Rock, Dub, Hip-Hop, Psychedelic Trance, Techno, House, Electro, Drum 'n' Bass, and other genres.

Last but not least, Earth Garden is a pioneer in raising public awareness about environmental issues, water and power use, and trash management while maintaining its green footprint. Many festivals in Malta are utilizing and following Earth Garden's trash management procedures as a model. Earth Garden Festival is a celebration of music, variety, and life!

The Valletta Film Festival is Malta's premier yearly film festival. The Film Grain Foundation, a non-profit organization of film experts, film aficionados, and cultural entrepreneurs, is responsible for its production. Every year, around 40 feature films and 24 short films are screened at various indoor and outdoor sites throughout the city.

For 10 days, Europe's tiniest capital city will be transformed into a movie theater, with screenings and festivities taking place in various squares and historic buildings.

The Valletta Film Festival is Malta's largest film festival, with over 10,000 visitors each year. The festival features more than forty feature films and twenty-four short films, as well as master seminars and workshops. In the feature length segment of the festival, twelve feature films or documentaries will vie for a number of awards, and up to twenty-four short films will compete for best short film.

Every year in June, Ghanafest is a two-day music festival held in the beautiful surroundings of Argotti Gardens in Floriana. The Ghanafest festival is named after the Maltese traditional singing style known as 'Gana' (pronounced A-na). Although the program includes elements of this musical genre, it also goes beyond local borders, bringing together soundscapes and cultures that appear to be far apart but are actually closer than one might believe. Due to their history, connection with the national image, and the ever-changing speed of folk itself, even Maltese traditional and more avant-gardist art forms will fit into the scheme of things.

It also features international music from the Mediterranean region. The festival's overall goal is to highlight the traditional genre's unity in variety. The picturesque celebration takes place in the lovely Argotti Gardens on Floriana's bastions.

Since its inception in 1998, the Victoria International Arts Festival has grown beyond the organizers' wildest ambitions, establishing itself as Malta's longest-running high culture event with an ever-expanding international dimension for several years.

The inclusion of the Victoria International Arts Festival in the famous festa season in honor of St George, Protector of the island of Gozo, was a first, confirming St George's basilica's leadership role in Gozo's cultural landscape. Prof. Joseph Vella, composer, university lecturer, and possibly the most respected musical director on the Maltese islands, is the festival's artistic director.

Sliema Arts Festival - one of the most famous festivals in Malta, was a thrilling three-day experience for those of us who attended, with scorching sun throughout the day and spectacular evenings. A BMX & Skate park that was continually active with bikes and skateboard showoffs, a Mini Malta Comic Convention, and a group of outstanding street artists made their own tiny masterpieces were among the many artists who took part.

Since 2013, artists, visitors, and residents have all braved the summer warmth with us at our three-day event in Malta. Sliema Arts Festival had set up four music stages, ranging from rock to reggae, a market for local merchants, entertainment, and some of our own artists' works along the Sliema promenade.

Along Sliema's renowned coastline, a diverse mix of arts, music, and entertainment spills over onto the rocky shore. There will be live music, food stalls, and numerous free events for people of all ages.

The Malta International Arts Festival promotes the best of the local arts sector, giving established and young Maltese artists a dynamic platform to display their work and engage with new audiences. It also presents well-known international performances at various venues in Valletta. Each year, the Malta International Arts Festival strives to enrich the local cultural calendar with a variety of must-see events, ranging from virtuoso musicians to Shakespearean theater, spectacular visual displays to breathtaking dance.

They can operate as an artistic bridge between Europe and the African coast because of their unique location in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. They're also in the midst between East and West, and they're fortunate to live on an island steeped in history, which we can reflect on, respond to, be inspired by, and utilize as a canvas. This offers us with a rich, diversified, and colorful fabric on which to build and create something new, blending other cultures, drawing on our background, but also looking beyond.

One of the most famous festivals in Malta, the Malta Jazz Festival, which takes place every year in July in Malta (previously part of Arts Council Malta and the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts). It takes place on the Valletta shoreline, outside Our Lady of Liesse Church.

The event was controversially taken away from Gatt, a pioneer of Maltese jazz, in 2006 and placed in the hands of private promotion business N'n'G, which intended to turn it into a more populist 'Rock and Jazz' festival.

Following that, the Malta Jazz Festival's line-ups were almost entirely devoid of modern jazz content, instead featuring a slew of past rock musicians, reunited prog rock ensembles, and tribute bands, leading to a brief period of decline.

Glitch Festival is a house and techno festival held on the beautiful island of Malta, and it will return for its 5th edition in August 2022.

Glitch Festival shows its on-point lineup across rooftop pool parties, secret rave caverns, chaotic boat parties, and inspiring headline acts inside its self-proclaimed "house and techno fortress," bringing with them a lineup of mainstay and underground house maestros and techno titans.

Beyond the music, festival-goers are encouraged to visit the remainder of the island, which includes spectacular beaches, caverns, cultural ruins, and historic towns like Valletta.

Notte Bianca is an annual festival held in October that transforms Valletta's cityscape into a stunning midnight celebration of people, culture, and the arts. The Maltese capital's streets and cultural institutions are home to a diverse range of entertainment.

The open-air streets and piazzas host some of the best local and international musicians and dancers, while state palaces and museums excite visitors with visual art exhibitions and theater performances.

Cafes and restaurants stay open until late, and the streets are lined with food vendors and tables. On Notte Bianca, the entire city of Valletta comes alive, from the City Gate to Fort St. Elmo, ensuring a fantastic night with something for everyone.
