Gabao Hip Hop Festival - one of the most famous festivals in Gabon takes place on February 25 in the Gabon-Estuaire region and the capital of Libreville. It is organized by the cultural organization Afrik'Aktion. Besides Gabon, this festival is also held in neighboring countries such as Cameroon, Congo, DRC, Chad, the Central African Republic, and the Republic of Guinea. Festival Akini-a-loubou is a two-week contemporary dance festival held in Libreville from May 9 to 14. Sandrin Lekongui, a young Gabonese dancer and choreographer, founded the event in 2005 with the goal of "giving impetus to dance, especially contemporary invention," through training workshops and exchanges between professionals and amateurs. The Festival of Cultures is one of the most popular festivals in Gabon. The Festival of Cultures has been resumed after being put on hold for several years due to a variety of organizational issues.
