Hwang Jung-eum in the role of Weol-ju, The proprietor of Mystic Pop-up Bar is a fiery woman. The Undateables is a 2018 South Korean television series starring Namkoong Min and Hwang Jung-eum. It's a romantic comedy about Kang Hoon-nam, who knows all there is to know about love, and Yoo Jung-eum, whose greatest wish is to be loved and marry. The two of them get off to a bad start, first at the airport five years ago when Hoon-nam observes Jung-eum pursue her then-boyfriend, and then in the present when they share the same customer Oh Doo-ri and are initially deceived into thinking the other is competition (although their employers are in fact in different industries). Two of Hoon-nam's pals come together with two of Jung-eum's friends, Yook Ryong and Coach Yang, followed by Lee Su-ji and Choi Jun-soo.
Su-ji, on the other hand, has long been friends with Hoon-nam from Australia, and Jun-soo has been Jung-eum's best friend and mentors for 30 years, while also renting at her father's property for the previous few years. When Su-ji returns from Australia to Korea, Hoon-nam is forced to leave his house and ends up living with Jung-eum and Jun-soo, much to the disgust of the latter. After things don't work out at first, Hoon-nam and Jung-eum meet paths again as they each try to sign up Mr. Kim as a customer. Mr. Kim has been dating Doo-ri, a mutual client. Hoon-nam then becomes a client of Jung-eum's agency. Su-ji pressures Jung-eum to manipulate the match so she is paired up with Hoon-nam, as she wants to marry him although his heart is not for Su-ji despite their other compatibilities.

Lucky Romance is a 2016 South Korean television series based on the webtoon of the same name published in 2014 on Naver, starring Hwang Jung-eum and Ryu Jun-yeol. The drama centers on the romantic and comedic interactions between Shim Bo-nui (Hwang Jung-eum), a woman who has blind faith in superstitions and fortune-tellings, with Je Soo-ho, CEO of a Game developer company who is a scientific and logical man.

She Was Pretty is a 2015 South Korean television series starring Hwang Jung-eum, Park Seo-joon, Go Joon-hee and Choi Si-won. A love comedy based on a true tale about two former acquaintances who re-connect after a reversal of fortunes and appearances, set in the publishing office of a fashion magazine. Kim Hye-jin (Hwang Jung-eum) was a lovely girl from a wealthy family known as the "Cha's". She suffered struggles and eventually lost her attractiveness after her family's publishing firm went bankrupt. Ji Sung-joon (Park Seo-joon), an ugly youngster with poor self-esteem, grows up to become a handsome and successful editor.
Sung-joon was unable to identify Hye-jin when the two met again as adults. Hye-jin, embarrassed to see her first love and spoil his impression of her, convinces her gorgeous best friend, Ha-ri (Go Joon-hee), to come in her place. However, things quickly become problematic when Hye-jin is assigned to work at The Most magazine publishing office, where Sung-joon is the deputy chief editor. He openly mistreats and mocks her for her clumsiness, unaware that she was his true childhood buddy. Ha-ri continues to meet with Sung-joon and develops affection for him. Full House Take 2 is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2012 and was co-produced by Korean and Japanese firms. It is broadcast on TBS-cable station TBS Channel 2 in Japan and SBS Plus in South Korea.
