While the world is more connected than ever, there are isolated groups of people around the world. It's hard to know how many "uncontacted" tribes exist today, ... read more...

  1. South American tribes were formed to serve their subsistence needs before the advent of researchers and information collectors. These tribes have existed for many centuries, so they are also less affected by the changes in human civilized life. They still live instinctively, close to nature, even though the life around them has changed. They do not have to worry about the economic and social risks of poverty. Life revolved around earning food, hunting and gathering and maintaining a life in the tribe.

Many South American tribes far from civilized life have survived because these tribes exist on distant lands, surrounded by ethnic, linguistic, and cultural barriers. This is also a cause that helps them maintain their distinction from the outside world. Furthermore, many South American tribes were also respected and enjoyed legal rights enacted by central national governments. Thus, these tribes can continue to undo and maintain their old cultural product without being undermined by conflict. Due to the independence of many South American tribes, many of these peoples have chosen to live a pure lifestyle, not participating in civilized life.

Many peoples also have a historical power to keep the old way of life and prevent any outside influence from entering their lives. People also believe that simple life is a kind of religion as well as the best way to live for them. Contactless tribes have developed completely self-sufficient and extremely diverse ways of life. They add a lot to the richness of human life.

  2. Many of these "non-contact" tribes had been in contact with the outside world since the last century. But unfortunately, contact with humans causes many outbreaks of diseases that threaten the lives of their tribe, making them wary. In fact, science in civilization, medicine in the outside world are very advanced. This makes diseases like measles, or tuberculosis be a common infectious disease, which is now completely curable.

The basics of modern life are new and strange to them. Early humans were born, everyone was a blank sheet of paper. If no one is raised in a developed environment, then no one will enjoy the consequences of civilization. Just like that, from generation to generation, the ancestors of the tribes could not pass on the civilized world out there to their descendants, and they also grew up with the same material and spiritual life as their ancestors. The tribes that are not exposed are indigenous people who avoid all contact with outsiders. They are not primitive and backward relics of a distant past, they are our contemporaries and a vitally important part of human diversity. But their survival is threatened by violence, disease and racism. This is a consequence of the fact that many groups of people have avoided, or even brutally denied, contact with the outside world. It becomes a vicious circle without end.

  3. The destruction and exploitation of the environment — such as deforestation for timber and farms — puts many tribes at risk to the environment and their lives. Being in the mountains, from generation to generation, they get used to this lifestyle and environment. Even the Brazilian government and other advocacy groups must find ways to protect vulnerable tribes without interfering with them. Contact and integration with the civilization of the modern world seem to be quite difficult.

Because the adventurers came here, approaching them with an unforeseeable purpose. Not everyone with good intentions wants to learn and discover the culture, sometimes they bring danger. The knowledge of these tribes is irreplaceable and has been developed over thousands of years. Subconscious things are hard to change. Finding the roof of the problem is not all. Another matter is how the people of the other tribes understand modern life.

Humans took millions of years to evolve and rise from the life of primitive man. They need the civilized environment, collective life, and time to change and accept. The fact that these tribes are more open to the world must go hand in hand with the acceptance from the people of the civilization for the integration to be effective.

  4. The people of these tribes have a deep understanding of their natural world through botanical and zoological wisdom and offer unique solutions for sustainable living. A lot of progress compared to the history of human development. They know how to hunt, set up tents and have self-defense weapons. Many of the drugs used in Western medicine are derived from tribal people and have saved millions of lives. The tribes that have not been contacted likely hold the key to many other secrets in their forest.

If we don't talk about the factor of living a long and healthy life, it is quite understandable that the tribes still exist. They meet the daily needs of eating and breathing. And they also have the ability to reproduce like everyone else. Life is met with basic needs, so it goes on, day in and day out. One positive thing, if they don't know the complicated and polluted world outside, it can be even more pleasant. Equal communities, without strong class divisions or distinctions between rich and poor. The emergence of civilized humanity maybe upset and change their normal rhythm of life.
